Renttix + Razorpay Integration

How it connects

You provide your own Razorpay Key ID and Key Secret, which Renttix uses to authenticate every request. When a customer goes to pay a hire invoice, Renttix creates a Razorpay Order carrying metadata that identifies the specific Renttix invoice, and the customer completes payment through Razorpay Standard Checkout on the payment page. Because the order carries the invoice reference from the outset, the payment that comes back is unambiguous. There is no matching step and no window in which a payment exists but nobody knows what it was for — the link is established before the customer pays rather than reconstructed afterwards.

Why it matters

In India, payment preference is not a detail — a hire business that cannot take UPI is asking customers to work around it. Razorpay Standard Checkout puts UPI, cards, netbanking and wallets behind one flow, so the customer uses whatever they normally use and you do not have to integrate each method yourself. For equipment hire specifically, collection speed matters more than for a one-off sale, because the same customer will be invoiced again next week. Payment friction compounds across a running contract. Making the first payment effortless makes every subsequent one effortless too.

Razorpay is the India-focused option among the eight payment providers Renttix supports, alongside Stripe, PayPal, Square, Mercado Pago, Xendit, Alipay+ and Airwallex. It plugs into the same invoicing and accounting flow as the rest — including the Tally export used by many Indian finance teams.
