You authorise Renttix against your Zoho organisation through Zoho's OAuth flow. The resulting tokens are stored encrypted with AES-256-CBC rather than in plain text, and refreshed automatically as they age, so the connection keeps working without anyone maintaining it. Once connected, customer records synchronise across so you are not maintaining two contact lists, and supplier records can be kept aligned on the purchase side too. Hire invoices raised in Renttix reach Zoho Books, and when an invoice is marked paid in Renttix the matching document is settled in Zoho.
Why it matters
Zoho Books tends to be chosen by businesses that value having one connected suite rather than a collection of unrelated tools. An operational system that refuses to talk to it undermines the entire reason for that choice, and leaves someone exporting spreadsheets to bridge the gap.
